ISHPSSB 2015 is jointly organized by the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), the Université de Montréal (UdeM) and the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur la science et la technologie (CIRST).

 

uqamWith an enrollment of over 40,000 students, the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is a leading French-language research university that is a cornerstone of Québec’s network of universities. UQAM is known for the quality of its programs, its research in social issues and its innovations in the creative arts. UQAM offers over 300 programs at three levels of study through its School of Management and through six faculties: Fine Arts; Communications; Political Science and Law; Science; Education, and Social Sciences. cirstCIRST is Canada's main interdisciplinary cluster of researchers studying the historical, social, political, philosophical and economic dimensions of science and technology. The Centre brings together around forty researchers from a dozen different institutions and a wide variety of disciplines, such as history, sociology, political science, philosophy, economics, management and communications. Located on the main campus of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), CIRST was created in 1986 with the support from the Québec Ministry of Education and, since 1997, has been identified as a "strategic cluster" by the Fonds de recherche du Québec sur la société et la culture (CIRST: FrançaisEnglish).
